The Marie Curie Cancer Care Etape Pennines 78 mile cycling route, described as 'beautiful but brutal', takes place in the rugged and undulating North Pennines of County Durham on Sunday 6 October. And we still have some cyclist friendly accommodation available in our camping Pods, Cottages and hardstanding touring pitches.
Up to 2000 cyclists will take on the challenge of the Etape Pennines, which includes a total thigh-burning ascent of 2,313 metres. It will start and finish on Harmire Road on the outskirts of Barnard Castle, just a few miles away from Hillcrest Park. We have secure cycle storage on site, and are happy to welcome any cyclists or their family and friends.
